01What we publish
News, analysis, interviews, the firmware tracker and guides about homebrew, emulation and preservation. We report that a tool exists, how it works and which versions it affects, but we don't distribute it.
Our guides explain processes and point to each project's official documentation. We always recommend using backups of games you legally own.
02Linking policy
We only link to primary sources: the developer's official repository or website, Sony, Nintendo and Microsoft support pages, and other media. We never link to mirrors, direct downloads, chip shops or sites offering game copies.
If a link stops meeting this standard after publication, we remove it as soon as we find out.
03Comments
We delete any comment that asks for, offers or links to protected content, and we block anyone who insists. We don't answer requests for ROMs, keys or firmwares either.
04Content removal
If you are a rights holder and believe something published here infringes your rights, write to us with:
- The exact URL of the content.
- The work or right affected.
- Your contact details and confirmation that you are the rights holder or act on their behalf.
We review every request within [X] working days and, where appropriate, remove the content and let you know.
