Mupen64Plus PS5 brings a native Nintendo 64 emulator to jailbroken consoles
TheRealRetro has ported mupen64plus-core 2.6.0 to the PS5 as a home menu app, with a dynamic recompiler, DualSense rumble and save states. Version 0.7.5 adds cheat search.

It installs like a game
Mupen64Plus PS5 puts the mupen64plus 2.6.0 core, a long-standing reference among Nintendo 64 emulators, on the PS5 home menu. You open it like any other title instead of launching it from the browser or sending it as a loose payload.
Under the hood it runs mupen64plus's x86-64 dynamic recompiler and renders through paraLLEl-RDP on Vulkan, the renderer that most faithfully reproduces the N64's graphics chip. There's a game shelf with box art, save states, DualSense rumble and built-in updates.
The latest release, 0.7.5, adds cheat search and lets you enter your own GameShark codes. Since November 1 it has also been listed in an open source PS5 homebrew store.
What the console needs
Your PS5 has to be within range of the public exploit, currently firmware 13.60 or lower. You'll also need kstuff or kstuff-lite, ShadowMountPlus and an ELF loader, which can be elfldr, etaHEN or the one in PS5 Payload Manager. No games are included. Dump your own cartridges and put them in /data/mupen64plus/roms or on a USB drive.
If you're on 0.6.0, 0.6.1 or 0.6.2, the built-in updater is broken and the updated app won't start. Install the new version by hand.
The project keeps a public compatibility sheet and a form for reporting games. The code is GPL-3.0.
