Dolphin with its own library

Porpoise is a GPL-3.0 GameCube and Wii emulator for PS5. It starts from Dolphin's libretro core and Mihawk's PS5 ports of RetroArch and Vulkan. On top of that, elripalda has built a box-art library, memory cards, per-game settings, an in-game menu, DualSense mapping and softcore RetroAchievements.

Version 4.5 landed on November 3 with a redesigned interface and PlayStation Move support. Wii games can now take up to four players. Triforce arcade games and variable refresh also arrive, both in beta.

Getting it running

Copy the PPSA99764 folder to /data/homebrew/ over FTP in binary mode, or with PS5 Upload, then register it with ShadowMountPlus. Games go in /data/porpoise/games/. If you're on 2.0 or later you can update from Settings.

You need a jailbroken PS5 with etaHEN and kstuff loaded, and ShadowMountPlus 1.7 beta 4 or newer. The project gives no firm firmware range, though its table mentions 13.60, also the highest version with a public exploit.

Still unfinished

Wii support, the Wii Remote on DualSense and two-controller play are still marked beta or experimental. There's no netplay, and save states may not load across versions.

Porpoise ships no games, BIOS or firmware. You bring backups of discs you own, and Triforce games need your own dumps.
