ps5-patchdl updates games on a jailbroken PS5 from a browser, with no firmware update
knutwurst's payload finds the latest official update for your PS5 and PS4 games, pulls it from Sony's servers and installs it. It can also roll back to older versions, and targets firmware 1.00 to 13.60.
The problem it solves
Keeping a console on old firmware to preserve a jailbreak often means losing game updates too. ps5-patchdl, by knutwurst, is a GPL-3.0-or-later ELF payload that serves a small web interface from the console. It lists your installed PS5 and PS4 games and finds the newest patch. It then downloads it from Sony's servers, with parallel connections and resume, and passes it to the system installer. Version history comes from Prospero Patches and Orbis Patches.
You can also pick older versions and roll back, on PS5 and PS4. The author tested that on firmware 11.60 with Ghostwire: Tokyo and inFAMOUS First Light.
Version 0.3.12, from November 2, makes new setups install updates as soon as the download finishes.
Requirements and use
All you need is a PS5 that can load ELF payloads. The README says it should run on 1.00 to 13.60 and has been tested on 11.60 and 13.60. Send the file with your ELF loader, then open the address shown in the notification from a browser on the same network.
Disc games need the disc in the drive during the update. The author hasn't been able to test installing to an M.2 drive, since their console doesn't have one.
Official patches only
The project contains no Sony software, keys or game content, and it won't install modified or unsigned packages. It only updates what you've already installed from disc or the PlayStation Store, and the author closes any issue about pirated content.
